Can I get a key pad for my used car?

Im about to buy a used car however I dont think he has the key pads you use to unlock lock and open the trunk. I know you can always get new keys cut for your car but can I get a new remote for my car? It a Ford 2002 Taurus. Where would I go to get a new one and how much would it cost?
