Why aren't dangerous sports like Baseball, Football, and Hockey made illegal?

Wow. Sports are fun. There is contact, but if you are wearing proper equipment then 999 times out of 1000 you will be fine. If you're going to say it's too dangerous, statistically driving is WAY more danerous, but why would we make driving illegal? It would be stupid, and so would making sports illegal.
