Isn't it bad news USA killed Al Qaeda leaders in attacks?

Because now that we killed Osama and this other guy, Al Qaeda wants to hit America more badly now so im more scared. Why did we have to attack and kill these people now they hate us and will definitely probably hit us back in retaliation?
