What is the quote that distinguishes between participants, players, artists and musicians?

I may not have the four elements right, but is along those lines. My band director reads it to us at the beginning of every year to inspire us to be musicians as opposed to just participants. I'm just wondering where I can find it so I can readily refer to it as needed. Thanks!
