I broke my AC remote control, should I get a new one that's exactly same?

My AC remote control isn't working all of sudden, when I try to turn the AC on, it doesn't respond to the remote. I tried changing the batteries but still doesn't work. I'm getting a new one, should I get a new one that is exactly the same or just the same brand in enough? Btw, the AC brand is Fujitsu.
