To those who are against the hate speech and hate crime laws .......?

Crimes that fall under hate speech and hate crime laws are already illegal...the laws are redundant. It's already illegal to threaten someone regardless of motive. It's already illegal to beat someone, rob them, damage their property, etc. regardless of why you're doing it. Why make new laws when the old ones sufficed? As for making it illegal to express an opinion, do you agree with that? I don't.
